I am Pissed off : I hate Canara Bank Uttarahalli Branch

I am pissed off totally today. Enough is enough. Here's what put me into total frustration. In order to invest Rupees One Lakh, I thought of fixed deposit in a nationalized bank. Hence I decided to open an account at the Canara Bank Uttarahalli Branch.

And believe it or not, its one of the worst decisions of my life I have taken, probably the second, the first one being joining Honeywell instead of Sapient. I wish I could undo this one.

I approached Canara Bank Uttarahalli, on 24-May-2008, with a form to open an account. The time was around 10:30 am. To my utter disgust do you know what a person who was supposed to sign for my account approval say ???

" Please come on Monday and submit the form. Its already late and the bank is supposed to close now ". [ Is this the answer you give, the bank may close at 11 am but still there is plenty of time, is what I felt.]

Somehow I managed to get his signature and submit the form. I think he would have been embarrassed when he had to sign on my form. I never knew I would have to see the same person's face again and again.

Today [31-May-2008, a week later] I went to put across a cheque, from my salary account for the fixed deposit and also to collect my pass book and cheque book. I had to see this person's face again and also I had to get his sign for obtaining cheque book.

He refused to sign atleast for two times, pointing to some mistakes in my letter. But I felt the way he spoke was disgusting. This is absolutely not the way you treat your customers, atleast not me.

I now totally hate CANARA BANK UTTARAHALLI, BRANCH.

I have decided to open a FD at SBI, Billekahalli Branch. Let me see how people at SBI turn up.

But for the rest of you folks out there, I can only say one thing, better go for HDFC or SBI, pls pls pls think twice before you land up in a situation like mine.
